INSTALLATION: IMPORTANT
Installing RM Motors exhaust tips is a relatively simple process if a few key steps are followed.
First, you need to make sure that the diameter of the exhaust pipe matches the inner (clamp) diameter of the tip. The tip should fit loosely over the pipe but not be too loose.
Then, the tip is placed over the exhaust pipe and the desired position is set – it is important that it is straight and protrudes symmetrically from the bumper. Usually, an equal distance is left on all sides to achieve an OEM+ style look.
Once the position is set, the clamping screws are tightened. They should be tightened evenly so that the tip does not twist and remains stable. It is recommended not to use excessive force to avoid damaging the pipe or the tip itself.
After installation, it is worth checking that the tip does not move and that there is no contact with the bumper – there should be a small gap to prevent the plastic from overheating.
If everything is installed correctly, the tip will be securely fastened and will not require additional welding or modifications.
